located at 244 South 3rd Street (between Walnut and Locust)

Featuring
DAVID LARSEN (Poet; Oakland)
A.R.S. (Trio of Sounds; Philadelphia)
FRANCES RICHARD (Poet; New York City)

DAVID LARSEN lives in San Francisco, teaches in Berkeley, and administers the New Yipes film and poetry series in Oakland, California. In 2005 his long record of self-publishing was broken with the appearance of The Thorn from Faux Press (Cambridge, MA). His future plans are shrouded in mist and shadow.

A.R.S. is a local trio that will be performing a piece designed for the Powel House space which may or may not include the following: a piano, violin, percussion, cantonese, japanese, and english. All party members are based here in Philadelphia and are not very tall. They recently purged their ranks of false prophets and this will be their first membership drive since then. They will work very hard and make sure that their families are well-cared for in the future.

FRANCES RICHARD’s book of poems, See Through, was published by Four Way Books in 2003. She writes frequently about contemporary art, teaches at Barnard College and the Rhode Island School of Design, and lives in Brooklyn.
