KATE COLBY is the author of Unbecoming Behavior (Ugly Duckling Presse, 2008) and Fruitlands (Litmus Press, 2006, winner of PSA’s 2007 Norma Farber First Book Award). Recent work can be found in Aufgabe, EOAGH and New American Writing. She lives in Providence, RI.

JASON ZUZGA is nonfiction editor of Fence and has taken scuba diving lessons in a pool in the desert. He is a grad student in the English Dept. at the University of Pennsylvania, where he might write his dissertation on the idea of nature documentary. His poems and essays include a recent collaboration with his brother David to appear in a forthcoming Chainlinks book about "prediction."

JACQUES COUSTEAU (1910-1997) was a reknowned marine explorer and filmmaker. He co-developed the aqua-lung and is the subject of Zuzga's presentation. Cousteau's film "The Golden Fish" will be screened as part of the evening's program.
